We became introduced to GAFA by David Kuefler, our friend and long-time colleague at Ethica Strategy. Knowing we shared their concern for social justice and the environment, David asked us if we would be interested in being a part of the society’s rebranding. Of course we would!
GAFA is a grassroots group first organized as a Steering Group under the name Gabriola Anchor Rage. In September of 2015 they incorporated as a Society under the name Gabriolans Against Freighter Anchorages Society (GAFA). The GAFA Society are group of volunteers committed to one common objective – to stop the designation of anchorages off Gabriola’s shoreline.
We worked closely with both David Kuefler and Gabriola resident and visual designer Larisa Bothma to create the site’s new look and implemented interactive tools to help spread awareness and support for the cause. We also offer hosting and ongoing support.
